A Tribute to A Friend
September
18, 1963 – July 10, 2002
The Copper Country Junior
Hockey Association has seen many people come through its ranks throughout
the years. Many have made an impression on the youth of our area by their
caring attention and volunteerism.
On the morning of July 10,
2002 the CCJHA lost a great friend, Glenn Peterson of the Salo District in
Hancock, Michigan. Glenn was killed in a tragic automobile/logging truck
accident.
Glenn was an avid
sportsman, participating in slow pitch softball and golf, while taking
time to coach Little League baseball and youth hockey. The people, both
young and old, that he came in contact with will long remember Glenn’s
easy smile and laid back attitude.
