Copper Country Junior Hockey Association

The CCJHA has decided to field a Major AA team in the Squirt, Peewee, and Bantams. A combined CCJHA-CHA Girls 19U Tier-2 division team will also be fielded. The goal is to offer the maximum opportunities for all players by seeking out and competing against teams who have achieved a higher level of play. The success of our program will be measured by the accomplishments of our players both on and off the ice. We are committed to developing our players to their highest potential. In addition emphasis is placed on creating an atmosphere that develops character, leadership, respect, fair play, sportsmanship and a true love for the game of hockey.

·         Our goal is to have the strongest players on the Major AA team regardless of whether they are first or second players in the division.

·         Travel coaches will be available at registration to answer questions about the individual teams.

·         Players interested in participating should sign up with travel coaches at registration.

·         Divisional skates will take place for all players; once ice is available at the Dee and Houghton County Arena.

·         Tryouts for Major AA teams will be scheduled during the first and second week of October for Squirt, Peewee, and Bantam teams. Girl’s tryouts will be posted at a later date.

·         Teams will be selected by the head coach through the assistance of the travel committee and individual evaluators.

·         CCJHA travel teams will not be participating in the NIHL this season.
