League Playoffs
Mites, Squirts, Pee Wees, and Bantams will play a championship game on "Hockey Sunday", which is in the middle of March, and is the final weekend of hockey. The date for Hockey Sunday is listed on the Important Dates page.
The following method will be used for determining the two teams who will play in the championship game. The standard Tie Breaker Procedures will be used for seeding in the event of a tie. All games against CCJHA teams in the same division count in the standings, except games marked "exhibition" on the schedule and games played at invitational tournaments. Games against CCJHA girls teams or teams outside the division (e.g. mite select or travel teams) are considered exhibition games.
6 Team Divisions: Teams will be ranked 1 through 6, based on the number of points earned. The #6 and #3 teams will have a 1-game playoff, as will the #5 and #4 teams. The highest-seeded winner from the first round will play the #2 team, while the second winner from the first round will play the #1 team. The winners of those two games will play in the championship game.
5 Team Divisions: Teams will be ranked 1 through 5, based on the number of points earned. The #4 and #5 teams will have a 1-game playoff, with the winner gaining the 4th seed and moving on. Next, there will be a 1-round playoff, in which #1 plays #4, while #2 plays #3, and the winners of those two games will play in the championship game.
4 Team Divisions: Teams will be seeded 1 through 4, based on the number of points earned. There will be a 1-round playoff, in which #1 plays #4, while #2 plays #3, and the winners of those two games will play in the championship game.
3 Team Divisions: Teams will be seeded 1 through 3, based on the number of points earned. The #1 team will receive an automatic place in the championship game, and will play the winner of a 1-game playoff between the #2 and #3 teams.
