CCJHA Booster Club

Booster Club Mission

The purpose of the organization is to promote and aid the Copper Country Junior Hockey Association and serve as its primary fundraiser.

Booster Club Meetings

Our next meeting will be on Monday, September 9, 2019, at 6:30 pm

Beginning in October 2019, the CCJHA Booster Club will meet on the second Monday of each month at 6:30 pm in the Sisu Room of the Houghton County Arena.  These meetings will be listed on the CCJHA calendar.

Booster Club Projects

Some of the projects the CCJHA Booster Club works on include Hockey Saturday, the Christmas Wreath Sale, Awards Night, Registration Night, coordinating Houghton County Fair volunteer hours, and assisting with various tournaments and activities held throughout the year.  The Booster Club also manages the concession stands at the Dee Stadium in Houghton and the Houghton County Arena in Hancock.

Booster Club Scholoarship

The CCJHA Booster Club will be offering scholarships for families in need of financial assistance.

Booster Club Funds - Where They Go

The funds raised by the CCJHA Booster Club come primarily from the operation of the concession stands at Dee Stadium and Houghton County Arena and fundraisers like the annual wreath sale.  The following are projects for which Booster Club funds are used:

  • Registration Night
  • CCJHA Ice Time
  • CCJHA Team Jerseys
  • Hockey Saturday
  • Hockey Skills Clinics
  • Awards Night

Houghton County Fair Hours

Thanks to everyone who volunteered and worked ticket taker shifts at this year's Houghton County Fair!

We're double-checking to make sure everyone is getting credit for their hours worked. If you log in and don't see your hours, you will need to update your DIBS account for the 2019-2020 season so the hours can be credited.  Visit the 2019-20 DIBS-Concession Volunteer Registration Page to register/update your registration for DIBS.

What's DIBS?

Each family needs a DIBS account to sign up for concession hours during the hockey season.  Volunteers are needed to keep the concession stands open to help keep our registration costs down. 

CCJHA DIBS Sign Up

We are using the DIBS system to schedule and manage our volunteer opportunities.  Required hours of volunteer time are completed by working shifts in the concession stands at the Dee Stadium and the Houghton County Arena, as well as working shifts at the Houghton County Fair each August.

NOTE: A new Dibs activation is required each season.  You do not need to create a new web site login if you have previously. ONLY ONE DIBS ACCOUNT IS NEEDED PER FAMILY.

To get started, please do the following:

STEP 1: CLICK HERE to go to the Registration page to activate your Volunteer account for the current season. This activation prepares your NGIN Account to become a user of the Volunteer Tool. This activation is required of all volunteers.

STEP 2: CLICK HERE to start choosing opportunities that the CCJHA has available for you to sign up for!

Families are required to complete 8 hours of volunteer time per skater.

Starting with the 2018-19 season, head coaches receive 8 hours of DIBS credit.

Please consider working a few extra hours and donating them to assistant coaches!
