Travel Hockey
What is Travel Hockey?
The CCJHA Travel hockey program places more emphasis on competition than the house league program. There is continued stressing of the philosophy of enhanced skill development. Some associations refer to these programs as their “competitive” league.
These teams play an average of 40 to 60 games per year. Games are played locally with U.P. associations, as well as weekend travel throughout WI, MN, and lower Michigan.
Tryout Information
Tryouts for the 2026-2027 season will be held in September.

Registration is open for tryouts for the Copper Country Junior Huskies Tier II 2026-2027 season.
Along with three AA teams last season, the CCJHA was able to field a 10UA, 12UA, and 14U AA minor team. We would love to be able to field six travel teams again this season but won’t be able to finalize those details until tryout registration is complete.
The tryout fee is $40. You are encouraged to register immediately to allow for organization of the tryouts. The tryout registration link will close on Sept. 13.
To be eligible for a team, players must attend at least one session of the team you are trying out for, but you are encouraged to attend both sessions.
